Use of baselines in the grid

Hi,

I’m scheduling changes in the projects and I would like to show the new and old dates in the grid view. Currently I’m not getting the option so I suppose that it is not possible.
One alternative would be using a new custom field but it is a manual process.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,
Alberto

I am not sure that I understand what is new and old date, but anyway, task table shows only one sort of dates – actual ones.

How can I make a comparison between actual vs planned?

i believe this is of the same question from Alberto.

How can I use baseline. I have click the baseline then press add…then I am still struggling what else to do so that IF I am to the change my beginning date (the new date as we are ahead the old date which is the planned date)

ok I started to understand BASELINE.

Here are my findings:

  1. Baseline is the reference of what we are planning.
  2. To compare current (now) activities against planned (old=baseline) :
    a) press the button baseline > add > save and close application
----> do i need to close application once I add the baseline?
----> does applying one baseline is enough to “CAPTURE” all the
    ganttchart activities in it?
    b) open the apps
----> change the starting date (now/new/current activities)

do i need to close application once I add the baseline?
No

does applying one baseline is enough to “CAPTURE” all the
ganttchart activities in it?

I am not sure that I understand the question. What do you mean when you say “applying” and “capture”?
