How to delete public holiday

Hi there,

I googled the internet like crazy but I could not find a solution for my problem:

A very important milestone in our project takes place on a public holiday (Germany). However, I cannot delete this day in the project calender (also not the it is e.g. shown here https://software.grok.lsu.edu/article.aspx?articleid=7481).
The project calender looks different:

Here you see that “delete” appears grey and cannot be chosen

I would be very pleased if anyone could help me with this problem.

Now I reinstalled the programme and finally it looks the same way as in the link I posted above and I can delete the holiday. Keep the thread, maybe someone else might have the same problem.

If you need to make October 3 working day in 2018 only then you can add holiday exception. Project > Properties > Calendar > One-off > Add. Choose Oct 3 and set its type to working, as shown below.
