# Questionable Download and Install

I downloaded (and purchased) the latest update from ganttproject.biz., However my Antivirus trapped the install as suspicious. There have been problems with bad guys intercepting open-source software and replacing it with virus bearing versions.

The version was ganttproject-3.3.3316.exe and it has not been signed by your company. Is this a legit copy?

You can check if the downloaded file is legit by [calculating its MD5 hash](https://md5file.com/calculator) and comparing it to the expected one (for this particular file, it must be `9505f15f583b155c52c6f50aa225e263`).

The installer was [checked by 62 antivirus tools on VirusTotal](https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/fca6588d97615ce1f293d554fcebdc6c3f40d46ebd4eb6c1b117ca5f31f6b3e1/details) and they did not find any issues.
