Buggy behaviour when cancelling "New project"

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start GanttProject and load a project
  2. Hide columns “Begin date” and “End date” for example
  3. Save project and close GanttProject
  4. Restart GanttProject and reload the project
  5. Modify an item
  6. Press “Ctrl-N” to create a new project
  7. When the warning popup appears, click “Cancel” or press “Esc”.
  8. The “Begin date” and “End date” are now shown.
    This could be the symptom of something deeper.
