I accidentally made a series of tasks a subtask within another task. When I try to remove this hierarchy, I can’t. The task can only be converted into subtasks of other tasks, never tasks in their own right.
Did you try selecting the subtasks and clicking Unindent (the leftmost button in a small toolbar above the task table, or action from the context menu, or Shift+Tab keyboard shortcut) ?
