I just installed the GanttProject 2.8.4 application on a Windows 10 pc. For some reason, I can’t sort my gantt chart by date. Neither of the “Begin date” or “End date” buttons sort the tasks. This feature works on the Android application where i created this project. Any suggestions?
Tasks in GanttProject can’t be sorted [1], sorry. Only manual reordering is supported.
Android application which you referred to was probably Ganttman which is developed by a third-party guy who is awesome but who is not affiliated with GanttProject at all.

This feature by the way seems to be a good candidate for paid external contribution: frequently requested, small enough and can be done without diving deep into the code. We’ll try to get it done soon.
