GanttProject Not Start

Hi,

After severals tried i can’t get GanttProject running on Windows 11.
I used ganttproject-3.2.3230.exe and ganttproject-3.2.3230.zip without any success.

The only things is the “GanttProject Launcher (32bits)” line in the task manager but nothing appear even the splash screen.

Did you install Liberica Full JDK/Full JRE?

I think only JDK because with this link, we can only install the JDK :

I missed something?
EDIT : I used the bellsoft-jdk11.0.17+7-windows-amd64.msi package

There is a “package” dropdown which allows for choosing what you download. You need “Full JRE” package. Here is a direct link for your convenience:

So i have done the install and now :

but even after a restart of windows same things : GanttProject don’t start and no splahscreen

I tried to start GanttProject 3.1 and i have no problem with this version

It seems that there is a weird mix of GanttProject components and updates on your system. Please remove C:\Users\xxx\.ganttproject.d\updates, uninstall both GP 3.1 and 3.2 and then install GanttProject 3.2 again. It is bundled with Java Runtime, and unless there is even more weird misconfiguration, it should use the bundled JRE.

Hi there, Same problem.

I tried to run GanttProject 3.2.3240, and is not working. whenever i use the launcher is in the task manager but not working.

I follow the steps described in the discussion, install the JDK, remove the C:\Users\xxx.ganttproject.d\updates, and install everything again.

I can only open it using the ganttproject.bat, And it looks that is working. it posible to solve the Launcher properly?

I see that it tries to load plugins from your C:/Users/German Hermida/.ganttproject.d/updates/ folder and there is a weird mix of plugins from different versions. Please remove the whole folder.

Same problem – same solution. You need a Java 11 Runtime with JavaFX modules. Your log is not complete, and I can’t see what Java runtime is used, but I guess that you have no JavaFX. Please install Liberica Java 11 Full JRE and make sure that JAVA_HOME variable in your ganttproject.bat points to the correct runtime. The links are given above in the topic.

Hi there! I’ve got the same problem.
After installing the sw (GanttProject 3.2.3230) I launch it and nothing happens. I see the process running in the task manager though.

I’ve installed Liberica Java 11 Full JRE (bellsoft-jre11.0.17+7-windows-amd64-full.msi) and now I can run it using .bat file.

I’m using win 10 pro, 22H2, 64bits
