I just downloaded Gantt Project on MacOS Catalina and I am unable to view the headings as they are shown as a black bar instead.

this happens when using dark mode in macOS. If you don’t want to switch to light mode, you can choose other appearance in GanttProject (e.g. Plastic). Edit > Settings > Application UI > Appearance.
