How to restore the task column in Gantt view and how to expand the current month view

I am running on a MAC and I lost the task column in the gantt view plus the current month in the gantt view is sqiashed. How can I restore the to default?

I am not seeing a manage columns pulldown anywhere, but the tasks are back. I would like the first month displayed after the tasks in this current month.

“Manage columns” action appears in the context menu on right-click in the table header.
