How to Shorten Calendar day from full day to half day 24 hr to 12 hr

Can you shorten the calendar units from full day to 1/2 day? Each unit would then be 12 hrs.

I am not sure that I clearly understand the intention, but if you meant to create tasks with duration less than 1 day then no, sorry.
