ID column blank when added to Resources Chart

Hi,
I was hoping to display the task ID numbers in the Resources Chart, obviously these wouldn’t be visible while the resource is collapsed, but when expanded I thought it would show the ID number against each task assigned to that resource.
However, in the fields manager I have added the preset ID column but the column isn’t populated.
It is populated if I add it to the Gantt, just not if I add it to the Resources Chart. Is it not designed to work in the Resources Chart?
