I have the same problem on Windows 10. I delete file in C:\Users\pc.ganttproject.d\updates. Ganttproject start… but is not able to open cloud projet 
Before apply .3005 i have a 3002 version.
Please explain what do you mean when you say “not able to open cloud project”. A screencast showing the issue is welcome,
