Export to PDF of my first Gantt chart gives “Untitled Gantt Project” as a title.
the file has a title.
Where do I change this "Untitled Gantt Project " to some meaningfull title?

Open the project file in a text editor. In the first line there is a tag called “project name=”. Set this to your desired name. Save and close. Export again. The pdf should now have the correct name
