Tasks appear twice and overload ressources?

( GanttProject ver.3.3.3316, Win11 )
Hi!
I’m new to the program. I’ve reviewed the guides, but I couldn’t find any information that addresses my issue.

When I assign resources to a task, they appear twice in both the resource diagram and the resource assignments. This makes it seem like my resources are overloaded by 200%. If I remove one of the duplicate tasks, the resource is no longer shown on the task in the Gantt chart.

The pictures hopefully show my issue. Here, two different resources are working together on one task. I tried removing one resource in an attempt to clean up the assigned tasks, but the task remains. The other resource was only added once and has the same task listed twice in both the resource diagram and assignments (not shown).

At the same time, I’ve also experienced ressources disappearing from tasks: I don’t know if the two things are related.

.

Please provide a scenario that shows how to reproduce the issue.
The following scenario works fine (that is, I don’t see any issues):

  1. Create a new task task_0 in a new project
  2. Create a new resource asd
  3. Assign the resource asd to task_0 e.g. using Assignments item from the task context menu

Expected: task_0 is listed once in the resource assignments tab in the resource properties dialog
Actual: as expected.

We had an issue that was probably the same in the earlier builds of GP 3.3, but it was fixed in 3305: Duplicated resource assignment · Issue #2422 · bardsoftware/ganttproject · GitHub

I followed the instructions in a new file, but got the same result.

Created task.
Created ressource.
Assigned ressource.

Are you sure that you’re using GanttProject 3.3.3316? Can you try uninstalling it, removing .ganttproject.d directory from your home folder (to clean any possible updates) and installing GP 3.3.3316 again?

That’s what the about section said.

I’ll reinstall and try again.

[EDIT]

I reinstalled, and made a new project without issues. The problem also seems be resolved, after I reassign ressources in my existing project.
