Unable to save Project to Desktop

Hi,

I realise that I am rather ‘thick’ when it comes to all things technical so please excuse the question.
When I had an older version of GanttProject I could save on my desktop and the fil always appeared with a .gan extension and I can still open them.

I have now upgraded to the latest version and when I get the option to save and choose desktop the file appears in the designated folder but with no extension. When I try to open it it gives me several options to use but not GanttProject. I must be doing something wrong but have not got a clue as to what it is. Please advise.

Hello, thanks for reporting this. Yes, GanttProject 2.+ would add the extension automatically while GanttProject 3.+ would not do it. We’ll fix it in the next update. Meanwhile, you can just add the extension manually when you save a project. You can also start GanttProject and then use Recent Documents pane to open documents without extension.
