Gantt Project not opening

Hello,

I tried to search previous discussions but none of them seems to help.

I try to run ggant project, loading window will open also icon into the taskbar, and then closes. But in the task manager, it shows that it’s running.

Please help!

Is there anything in the log file? The log file is ganttproject.log and it sits in your home folder.

I do not seem to find it.

You home folder is C:\Users\oliver

You need one with the name ganttproject.log, with no other extensions, produced right after the attempt to launch GanttProject.

Well, it turned out not very useful.

Also, you may want to try using GanttProject 3.0 beta which comes with Java Runtime version 11 and may work differently. Download it from here: https://www.ganttproject.biz/download#download30

Hello,

So… I got GanttProject 3.0 working.

Now I have some practical questions.

  1. Can I add a task duration hours instead of days?
  2. Can I add real consumed hours?
  3. Can I make comparisons between actual and estimated hours?
  4. Can I take out Chart prediction vs. actual, line chart for example?
  5. Can I track performance?

Basically functions that MS Project has.
