Version. 3.0 won't run on Windows 10

I downloaded the new version 3.0. But when I click to run it, nothing happens. When I open task manager, then I can see it’s indeed running. But the application itself never opens. Any idea what would cause this?

Program is not launching

Today, first version 2.8.11didn’t start anymore. Next, I downloaded the Version 3. Here just the splash screen launches, but the program does not start further. Tried deinstall and install both version several times, but without success any issues are known?

I can’t find the options file “.ganttproject” I’ve turned on the option for showing hidden files in Windows Explorer. And can’t see it anyway. I assume the home director is Ganttproject-3.0 – i.e. where everything is. And not some subfolder.

Ah! Thank you Well, I found the file. Deleted it. But no change. Same thing. It starts running in that I can see it in Task Manager, but the application itself doesn’t open.

Apparently, it was produced by GP 2.8.11 which is not that useful.

Can you run ganttproject.bat file from the command line terminal and post what is printed to the output? You need to run it from GanttProject 3.0 installation directory.

I cant migrate from 2.8 to version 3 either. I deleted .ganttproject in the user folder as the presence of the file caused version 3.004 to stall in the splash screen. However, the software launches but cannot save any project or import and save any documents. the attempt to create a new project calls the follwing error.

I have removed any found instance and files from former versions and reinstalled newest GP 3.0 on my Win10 and it dont start up either for me. Can anybody
help me
Could it be an error in Java 8 build/version 301?

After I have

1. Uninstalled Gantproject.
2. Removed any GanttProjectfile and folders from my personal user-folder at C:\USER…
3. In registry search for GanttProject and deleted all i coud find
4. Reinstaled GanttProject 3100
5. Updated to GanttProject 3102

It seems to work for me
